Counting Down
We're in the final stages of getting ready for the trip to Thailand. As always, there are lots of last minute details to be handled. Alan is in the office most of the day today and Joyce is handling things on the home front. Now we just need to decide how much to try and sleep tonight. We know that we want to sleep as much as we can on the plane so that our bodies are on Bangkok time as soon as possible.
In the last couple of days, we've talked or emailed with Fred and Emma in Bankgkok, Andres in East Timor, cousin Sharon, who will be there with us in Bangkok (we arrive on the same flight from Tokyo!), brother Tom, who will meet us in a couple of weeks or so in Bangkok, and Chris in Hawaii. It seems like we'll see a lot of people we met in Indiana while halfway around the world!
Feel free to share the blog address with anyone you think might be interested in our travels. I'm hopeful we'll find enough internet access to post some pictures as well as some brief comments about our experiences.
Only about 24 hours to go!

This is Matthew Iles from PSSC. I realize that you probably already know this, but try to sleep as much as you can on the plane. When I went international this summer it was only 8 hours and I thought I was going to die. Whatever you do: DON'T START WATCHING THE MOVIES...you won't be able to stop. Oh ya: have an amazing time. Who knew it was a six hour flight from Japan to Bangkok?!?!?
Sincerely,
Matthew

Definitely sleep on the plane...and sleep on the plane on the way back. When I went to Australia, most of us did alright switching over to Aussie time, but about two weeks after we got back home, we all got sick because the time change finally caught up with us. Anyway, enjoy your trip! I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time! I can't wait to see all the pictures! :)
